Stakeholders who operate businesses in the Apapa Council Area area in Lagos have raised concerns about the ongoing traffic collapse on Creek Road and insisted that the road must urgently be relieved to allow traffic to flow freely.
< At a meeting on how to effectively manage traffic on Creek Road and others, stakeholders found that traffic had built up over the past three weeks and had become a nightmare for businesses on the axis.
Stakeholders identified truck / container parking on the road with no retrieval or legitimate business on the road for weeks as the main cause of the problem.
It was decided that all terminals on the road would cooperate with the responsible authorities to define clear rules for Creek Road and to ensure that they are strictly adhered to.
Ultimately, the stakeholders also appealed to the relevant authorities to work with them to ensure the restoration of health on the road, adding that that would be beneficial to everyone in Apapa.
