No fewer than 40 farmers were killed by Boko Haram terrorists in Kala Balge governorate, Borno state.
Daily Trust reports that the terrorists rounded up a large number of community members on Sunday and killed them all.
The legislature representing Bama/Ngala/Kala Balge constituency, Zainab , confirmed the incident Gimba said many of the victims of the attack have since been buried according to Islamic rites.

He added that the victims were attacked on their farms in Rann, the Kala Governorate headquarters -Balge in northeastern Kala-Balge Borno State.
“Over 40 peasants were killed and some of the bodies were dismembered while others the terrorists were tied up and their throats cut.
“The victims were buried on Monday and residents said many others remain to be held accountable.”

Rotimi Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation, had visited the state of Borno to present the votes of the All Progressives Congress delegates to the Party primaries.
The ex-minister was with the ambassador of the Republic of Benin, Tukur Buratai, in the northeast of the state.
The Ambassador, while addressing the delegates in the presence of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, said that Amaechi had all the qualities required to become a Nigerian President.

Rotimi Amaechi revealed that as Rivers State Governor he successfully hunted criminals into the bush alongside former Army Chief of Staff Tukur Buratai.
