Tragedy Struck as 2 Brothers Die Trying to Retrieve Phone From Pit Toilet – Legit.ng

A 30-year-old man, Haruna Abdullahi and 45-year-old Adamu Danjummai died in a pit toilet in Aku Village, Gaya Municipal Government, Kano State, while trying to recover a mobile phone.

It was the third death in the pit toilet in the state. under similar circumstances.

PM News reports that Kano State Fire Service Public Relations Officer Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi made this disclosure through a statement in Kano.

Abdullahi said the incident happened on the morning of Sunday May 1st.

He said:

“We received an emergency call from Gaya Fire Station at around 07:15 from a certain Ali Ahmed that two men were trapped in a pit toilet.”

“We immediately dispatched our rescue team to the scene at around 07:25.”

The brothers were taken unconscious from the pit latrine and later confirmed dead.

Their bodies were handed over to Aku village chief Adamu Isyaku.

The PPRO said Abdullahi entered the toilet with the intention of using his mobile phone on lifting when he fell in and was trapped his brother Danjummai went in to rescue him and he was also trapped.
