Nnewi – Unknown gunmen did Okechukwu beheaded Okoye, the congressman representing Gov. Charles Soludo’s Anambra constituency House of Assembly.

Okoye, representing the state’s Aguata 2 constituency, was found dead on Sunday, May 15, along with his aide Cyril Chieboka along Aguluzigbo Road in the Anaocha local government area of ​​the state.

His head is said to be on Saturday, May 21, in a parking lot in Amichi, a township in the state’s Nnewi South Regency, six days after his kidnapping.

The state’s police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed this in a statement.

Part of the statement read:

“Further information and confirmation, identified the body as Hon Okechukwu Okoye. “

He was silent on the fate of the assistant legislature.

The police spokesman said the state police commissioner Echeng Echeng , described the lawmaker’s murder as:

“Barbaric and an act of cowardice.”

He said Echeng also felt sorry for the family and friends of the lawmakers and assured them that the police would track down the killers.
