EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi paid tribute to his late grandmother, Nomgidi Emily Ndlozi, following her death last week.
Ndlozi shared on his social media that he had lost an “irretrievable” part of him.
“An irretrievable part of me is erased forever. Death, with such a cruel sting, so totally in his excess. But oh, what an everlasting joy to have been in those hands, to have sat at those feet and to have drunk from their overflowing cup. Na’Ntshingila, Ndlozi, uMma wami, uGogo wami engimthandayo,” he shared on Twitter.
The EFF described Gogo Ndlozi as a “library of wisdom” and a devoted member of the party.
“The entire organization is at a loss for words at the loss of such a caring, devoted and virtuous woman. Gogo Ndlozi was a library of wisdom from which we all drew lessons and guidance during times of uncertainty in the revolution,” the party said.
The late Ndlozi joined the party in 2014, “when it wasn’t it was fashionable do this,” the red berets said.
The EFF said the decision was inspired by rampant corruption and high levels of unemployment and poverty.
She said , her MP, who appeared at the EFF Randburg Magistrates’ Court was subjected to a “frivolous trial” on Friday while his grandmother lay in her final hours . Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, who faced a reckless trial sponsored by racists while his beloved grandmother lay in her final hours.”
