The City of Tshwane is investigating water quality concerns in Bronkhorstspruit.
Utility Services and Regional Operations and Coordination MMC Daryl Johnston said they are aware of the water concerns in the area and confirmed that they Investigated.
“We immediately dispatched our water and sanitation teams to review the system and conduct water quality tests from our supply system. Our repair teams have been fixing problems in the sewage network systems at Verster Park and Lanham,” he said.
He said they had carried out water quality tests at Bronkhorstspruit, Zithobeni and Rethabiseng.
Johnston said first Tests showed the water was clear, but more samples were analyzed.
“The good news is that preliminary tests show no E. coli was detected. Once we have the final results, an informed decision will be made, especially if it is determined that the water quality does not meet the required standards. We are monitoring the matter closely and will continue to keep residents informed.”
