Pending testimony, crime scene photos and autopsy results delayed the Elvis Nyathi murder hearing on Thursday.
The Randburg District Court adjourned the case to August 24, Nandkisoor, at the request of District Attorney Dinesh for further investigation.< /p>
“Also pending a decision by the Chief Prosecutor’s Office whether the matter will then be referred to the Supreme Court for trial,” Nandkisoor told the court.
Cedrick Raseala, 41, Baron Mashele, 31, Godfrey Mahlo, 31, Thomas Serebane, 53, Phumudzo Tshirangwana, 38, Thabo Makgatho, 32, and Puleng Chipape, 34, are charged with four counts of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping and assault with intent, aggravated assault, robbery in aggravating circumstances and extortion.
The seven were each granted bail of R3,000 on an earlier appearance.
The remaining charges stem from an alleged act by Se Justice when Zimbabweans were allegedly attacked was murdered by a group of residents in Diepsloot.
Nyathi from Zimbabwe was murdered in Diepsloot on April 7th.
