A quick-thinking KwaZulu-Natal taxi driver called paramedics to the N2 motorway when one of his passengers went into labor on Saturday.
The pregnant woman was on her way from Inanda to Mandeni when she was in Distressed.
IPSS Medical Rescue said a team was dispatched to assist the woman.
“IPSS Medical crews met the taxi on the N2 side and recognized the passenger There was no time to take the woman to the hospital, and she delivered her baby girl safely in the ambulance.
“The woman, her 10-year-old daughter, and their newborn daughter were all transported safely to a nearby Establishment brought in good health.”
