In another incident of gender-based violence in Limpopo, a 55-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his 54-year-old wife at their home in Spitzkop.
< span>Provincial police spokeswoman Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said a preliminary investigation found the suspect initially misled police by claiming his wife had been killed after he left his home and went into town had driven.
However, he had unexplained bruises and scratches that indicate he may have committed the murder.
After a thorough investigation of the crime scene, the suspect was arrested.

The Limpopo Provincial Commissioner, Lt. Gen. Thembi Hadebe, condemned “another incident of gender-based violence”.
“The suspect will soon be charged with murder in Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court,” said Mojapelo.
