A 31-year-old man has died from his injuries after falling several floors in a shopping center in Pretoria on Thursday.
Police spokesman Col Dimakatso Sello said a case file has been opened to investigate the police station of Brooklyn.
“The victim is said to have fallen from level six of the Menlyn Park mall. He was pronounced dead at the hospital,” Sello said.
The circumstances of the incident are currently unknown.
Emer-G-Med previously said his paramedics were alerted at 8 p.m in the morning.
“On arrival at the scene, it was determined that a man in his 30s had fallen from a height of approximately three stories,” said Emer-G-Med.
Emer-G-Med said the man was found in critical condition and required enhanced life support to stabilize him before he was put on a mechanical ventilator to help him breathe.
< p>“Assistance from the Netcare 911 aeromedical helicopter was requested and the man was flown to a specialist facility for the final care he needed.”
