A mass funeral will be held next Wednesday for the 21 young people who died in a tavern in the Eastern Cape on Sunday morning.
The provincial government said families will be helped to transport remains to burial sites of their choice afterwards
The government on Wednesday thanked those who had pledged their support in preparing the funeral.
“Among them is Avbob, the funeral home, which provides every family with assistance with funeral expenses has pledged.”
The government said autopsies were carried out on all of the deceased and samples were sent to a laboratory in the Western Cape for testing.
“The report will be shared with the families concerned , once the investigation is complete.”
The government said police remained at the scene and continued to comb the scene for any further leads related to the incident.
