‘Notorious hitman’ charged in Senzo Meyiwa case convicted of several murders

A notorious 32-year-old killer from KwaZulu-Natal who was implicated in the murder of the former captain of the Bafana Bafana, Senzo Meyiwa, was convicted of six murders.

Fisokuhle Ntuli appeared to Esikhaleni Regional Court in North KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday for his six-fold murder conviction, an attempted murder charge, and four-fold possession of unlawful firearms and ammunition the day before.

Ntuli, who was appointed by a task- A team investigating political murders in the province was found guilty of the 2016 murder of ANC Councilor Thami Nyembe, who was gunned down in Nongoma. Nyembe’s wife was seriously injured in the shooting but survived the encounter.

According to the indictment, Ntuli’s reign of terror in Nongoma began in April 2015 when he murdered Bhutiza Mahlobo.

The following year he shot dead he Nyembe together with his wife Nolwazi Mgomezulu and survived the attack, although he was shot and critically injured.

In 2017, Ntuli hunted down three brothers who were ready to testify as witnesses for the murder of Nyembe.

The brothers Sibusiso Phiwayinkosi, Mcebisi and Sibusiso Elvis Zulu were killed by Ntuli in January 2017.

His last hit before his arrest was Spamandla Zungu, who Ntuli murdered in August 2018.

According to national police spokesman Brig Vishnu Naidoo, Ntuli is one of the defendants in the Meyiwa murder case.

“He is being tried separately in the Senzo Meyiwa case. He is charged on this [number] five. ”

The Ntuli case was adjourned Tuesday to December 9th for conviction after his attorney Scelo Zungu asked for a court report .

The report would require a probation officer and social worker to visit Ntuli’s family to gather information about his exceptional circumstances.
