The Public Investment Corporation (PIC) has suspended its COO, Vuyani Hako, following misconduct allegations against him.
The The < span>The state-owned entity, which also announced two resignations of senior staff on Thursday, said the suspension was precautionary.
“The PIC believes that the suspension in It is in the best interests of both the employee and the employer to ensure that an independent investigation can be carried out freely.”
Sholto Dolamo, Executive Head of Research and Projects Development at the PIC , and Lusanda Kali, the acting Executive Head for Development Investments and Private Equity, will leave at the end of June. Dolamo joined the PIC more than 10 years ago, has held various roles and until recently was acting Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
“The PIC would like to reassure all of its stakeholders that these resignations and the suspension of its COO will not destabilize the PIC’s ability to fulfill its investment mandate.
“The recent appointment of Kabelo Rikhotso as CIO, combined with an established pool of expertise will ensure that the PIC continues to achieve its investment goals.”
