Eastern Cape Police tried Thursday morning to determine if an attack on several women at a police station took place this week and where.
The incident was brought to light in a video shared on Twitter, where a man is depicted hitting and wrestling with several screaming women.
The women try to defend themselves and hit the man on the head while he wrestles one of them to the ground. A person in police uniform is involved in the riot.
The person who shared the footage claimed the incident took place at Madeira Police Station on Wednesday evening and the man was not arrested.

Eastern Cape Police spokesman Brig Thembinkosi Kinana told TimesLIVE police are looking at the video to establish the facts.
“As it stands, there is nothing to suggest that it is a Madeira police station. Once we determine which police station it is, we can move on,” he said.
In 2020, a man was arrested for shooting his wife dead at Madeira Police Station when she was shooting a Wanted to report case of domestic violence.
