A student teacher was shot in the head at a school in Newlands West in Durban on Tuesday.
Kyle van Reenen, spokesman for Emer-G-Med, said his paramedics along with Netcare called 911 the scene responded after 8 a.m.
“Upon arrival at the scene, a man in his 30s was found lying on the street next to a vehicle. A closer examination revealed that the man sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was in critical condition,” he told a nearby hospital for further treatment.
“The circumstances of the incident and those that preceded it Events are unclear and will be the subject of an investigation by the SA Police Service,” said Van Reenen.
