Unemployed woman wins R31m lottery, search on for Mpumalanga winner

An unemployed woman in her 50s, patiently waiting for the big win, bagged R31.4 million in the most recent Lotto Plus 1 draw.

The largest amount the woman won from Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape had The previous win was R150.

“I was very shocked when I found out I had won. I don’t intend to change my life drastically,” said the winner.

The winning ticket was purchased from Dahley & Khandaker with a stake of R40 via manual selection. The woman checked her winnings online and was home when she discovered she was a multi-millionaire.

Despite the winner’s concerns that people might find out about her life-changing fortune, she’s happy with it just telling her family right away. She plans to spend her winnings wisely on her family, investing some and donating to those in need.

Ithuba is looking for another big winner and is urging players in Mpumalanga to check their tickets as soon as they there is a mid-month surprise bonus for a player from Mhluzi, Middelburg.

The most recent winner bagged the R12.6 million Lotto Plus 2 jackpot on Wednesday night.

The ticket was played via manual selection with a stake of R20.

Ithuba has requested the ticket holder to come in and claim their winnings at the nearest office.
